CEO AND FOUNDER OF FLASH BATTERY AT THE HELM OF THE GIOVANI IMPRENDITORI SECTION
Marco Righi, the new Chairman of Giovani Imprenditori of Reggio Emilia Unindustria.
Marco Righi, CEO and Founder of Flash Battery, is the new Chairman of Giovani Imprenditori of Reggio Emilia Unindustria
I am driven by the thought that the 8 biggest firms in the world, that together turnover more than 5000 billion dollars, were founded by businessmen aged 34 or under, and that the average age of these businessmen when they founded these giants was just 27.
This is just an excerpt of the speech given by Marco Righi CEO and Founder of Flash Battery, a few minutes after he was elected Chairman of Giovani Imprenditori at the meeting preceding the public event organised at La Polveriera (RE) entitled “Europe. A dream the size of a continent”.
Marco Righi – successor of Enrico Giuliani – will also take up the post (as envisaged in the articles of association) of Vice Chairman of the Business Association for the three-year period 2019-2022.
The Board of Directors was also elected at the same time as the Chairman, consisting of Alessandro Annovi (Nutriplus srl), Jennifer Bacchi (Flumar srl), Giulia Bacci (Itinere srl), Guglielmo Bagnacani (Phonocar spa), Valentina Bertazzoni (Bertazzoni spa), Silvia Binacchi (Binacchi srl), Marianna Brevini (GB Servicelab srl), Martina Miselli (Miselli srl), and Tancredi Lolli (Italian top gears srl).
Accepting the position, Marco Righi thanked his predecessor Enrico Giuliani and the Chairman of Reggio Emilia Unindustria, Massimo Storchi, with whom – he said – he will work “on implementing his programme for renewal intended not only for the firms who are members of our Association, but also for industry in the area”.
I consider this position as an honour for me personally and one that also acknowledges the standing of Flash Battery within the business network represented by Confindustria
The speech by the newly elected Chairman of the Gruppo Giovani of Reggio Emilia Section
All the staff at Flash Battery would like to congratulate Marco Righi with an excerpt of his acceptance speech.
“We are all called to go on a journey of discovery where the destination will be a different society to the one we know today.
We are not only witnessing a moment of great change, but also a time marked by a genuine transformation between two periods in history.
Businesses, unions, institutions, the local business networks and people now have to make significant changes to the way they live, think and work.
This is why we have to see everything around us and everything that seems distant to us in a new light.
A new angle of observation for us to understand more about ourselves: a vital prerequisite for us to dream about what we can and are obliged to become.
Of course, we will continue to take care of our own affairs and the expansion of our operations, but we will also take steps to feed the civilised passion which is the real driver of a Movement made up of people, like ours.
The country demands this responsibility and this commitment from us.
Export sales worth more than 450 billion, making us the second industrial economy in Continental Europe, are neither the result of accident nor improvisation.
Instead, they are the result of our capability for bottom-up self-organisation, representing the real hallmark and first competitive advantage of business Made in Italy.
As the network in Reggio Emilia shows, many supply chains are not suffering from the transformation but are committed to pursuing it.
In an industrial context like this, the factory, with its products and services, is one of the natural environments of the digital revolution.
The place where a new way of thinking and working is being defined.
We are facing a true and proper cultural revolution that constitutes the real core business of a group of young entrepreneurs like Gruppo Giovani.
“I am driven by the thought that the 8 biggest firms in the world, that together turnover more than 5000 billion dollars, were founded by businessmen aged 34 or under, and that the average age of these businessmen when they founded these giants was just 27”.
The three years ahead of us will have a schedule and objectives that have not been defined by us but by the extraordinary pace of change and the ensuing new dynamics of competition.
A mobile horizon in which the concept of “Working Together” is an essential cornerstone for the strategy of our association”.
