Modular batteries, pros and cons: Flash Battery among the speakers at the fourth electrification event organised by Link Magazine
20 April 2023
Terberg HQ – Benschop
Founder and CEO of Flash Battery Marco Righi was one of the speakers at the fourth electrification event organised by Link Magazine in collaboration with Terberg, focusing on the issues of the green energy revolution that is affecting the manufacturing industry and the urgent need for manufacturers of industrial machinery and vehicles to adapt to this inevitable change.
With today’s constantly evolving lithium technology and the increasingly stringent green regulations imposed by European policies, battery-powered transport vehicles represent a concrete solution to make the transition to clean and increasingly efficient energy possible. However, this impending change offers the industry not only opportunities but also challenges to which manufacturers must be prepared.
Terberg’s HQ in Benschop, Europe’s leading manufacturer of vehicles and special equipment for the port sector, steel mills and large distribution centres, was the stage for the event, which featured prominent speakers such as Theo Rosendal and Ronald van Zoelen, Terberg’s Chief Operating Officer and Technical Director respectively, who delved into the challenges the Dutch giant is facing in introducing electric vehicles to reach the ambitious zero-emission target.
The panel was an important opportunity for the participants to meet and discuss the state of the art and new developments regarding the electrification of the industrial sector, in particular regarding the choice of the most suitable type of battery for the needs of vehicle, boat and heavy transport manufacturers.
This was precisely the focus of the speech given by Flash Battery CEO Marco Righi, who brought to the stage the company’s decades of experience in the design and production of lithium batteries for the industrial sector, illustrating our vision on the subject of scalability, standardisation and modularity of battery packs developed for machines and industrial vehicles. In fact, there are so many elements that go into creating the lithium battery best suited to the needs of a specific application: choosing the right electrification solution for your vehicle has become, today more than ever, a complex task, but more necessary than ever to embrace the energy transition towards greater efficiency and sustainability.
