ITIS Leonardo da Vinci – Parma
On Wednesday 26 January 2022, our CEO Marco Righi was invited back to his old high school in Parma, ITIS Leonardo da Vinci, where he had the chance of giving a course on lithium batteries to three fifth-year classes of the Electronics and Electrotechnical department.
The two-hour course entitled ‘Battery Packs’ aimed at introducing students to the emerging sector of lithium batteries, with a focus on the different chemistries on the market, the importance of lithium battery safety, the role of the Battery Management System in managing the performance of the entire battery pack and the remote control of Flash Battery, the Flash Data Center, which allows end-user to know at any time the health status of any of the more than 15,000 Flash Battery lithium batteries installed worldwide.
“It was a great emotion for me to relive, even for one day, the choices that led me to where I am now. As a boy, I chose this school because of my passion for electronics, cultivated with my childhood friend Alan Pastorelli, who in 2012 together with me became the co-founder and CTO of Flash Battery, a company born out of a garage and which today employs over 65 people. Would I have thought 20 years ago that this would be my future? Certainly not, what drove me this far was passion, determination and a sense of responsibility, aspects that I wanted to share with the students to motivate them to believe in themselves and to always follow their dreams and aptitudes“.
