On 10 November 2022, Marco Righi, CEO and founder of Flash Battery, will take part in the seminar “Lithium batteries, environmental and safety management – battery characteristics, risks and measures to be applied for safe use in the workplace” to bring Flash Battery’s decennial experience in the field of electrification of industrial machines and electric vehicles.
The conference, organised by Alfa Solutions S.p.A. and Flash Battery, will be held as part of the panel of events promoted by Ecomondo, the exhibition for green technologies staged at the Rimini Exhibition Center from 8 to 11 November 2022, at the Acero Room at the Hall A6 of the fair. The aim of the seminar is to raise awareness among companies and provide information on the technical, regulatory and operational management of lithium batteries in terms of safety and environmental impact.
Our CEO will give a speech entitled “Lithium batteries: the key component in the machines of the future”, in which he will provide an overview of the evolution of batteries, from lead to lithium, examining the peculiarities of the different chemistries and their applications. The topic of safety will also be addressed, analysing what are the three key factors that make the use of modern lithium batteries safe, and the functioning of the BMS (Battery Management System), which in the case of Flash Battery’s proprietary Flash Balancing System can act on each individual cell with a high power combined balancing, both active and passive, with an electric current at least 20 times higher than traditional BMS.
Among the topics that will be discussed during the seminar, there also was safety in the working environments where lithium is used, storage, transport, and the issues of environmental management of batteries from the perspective of circular economy, discussed in depth by speakers Roberto Grisenti, HSE Area Manager of Alfa Solutions S.p.A., Giacomo Dall’Aglio, Safety Sector Consultant of Alfa Solutions S.p.A., Daniele Orsini, Prevention Technician of AUSL Reggio Emilia and Elettra Diacci, Environment Sector Consultant of Alfa Solutions S.p.A.
