FLASH BATTERY MEETS BUSINESS AND COMMUNICATION STUDENTS AT MODENA AND REGGIO EMILIA UNIVERSITY

How can an idea be transformed into a company that is now among the leading manufacturers in the battery industry? Flash Battery bears its testimony at Unimore

Our Founder & CEO Marco Righi met with students of the “Business Models and Strategic Decisions” course of the Department of Communication and Economics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia on Tuesday, 18 April 2023.

Professor Domenico Cambrea, Course Lecturer, invited us into his classroom to give the students a concrete testimony of a young enterprise that with perseverance and competence has managed to establish itself within the rising market of lithium batteries for the industrial sector.

The focus of the meeting was the entrepreneurial choices made during the 11 years since an idea born in a garage by two young boys, Marco Righi and Alan Pastorelli, Founder & Ceo and CTO and Co-Founder respectively, was transformed into Flash Battery, a solid company that, today, ranks among the leading manufacturers of custom lithium batteries for industrial machinery and electric vehicles.

The most interesting concepts for the students included the important governance choices that characterize us, such as the presence of two under-40 founding partners, the opening of capital to non-founding outside shareholders, and the establishment of a BoD in which directors who are not part of the ownership participate.

During the talk, the students also had the opportunity to learn more about environmental sustainability, which is among the founding values of our corporate philosophy and is embodied in the concrete choices we make every day that have earned us ISO14001 environmental certification.

This meeting offered an opportunity for students to learn about the technology behind Flash Battery and, in particular, the Flash Data Center, the proprietary real-time, automatic remote control software that allows 24/7 monitoring of the operation of active batteries around the world, preventing false alerts or anomalies from occurring, and promoting self-diagnostics and predictive maintenance.

The purpose of the talk by our CEO, who was called to share his entrepreneurial experience, was to explain to the students, potential CEOs of tomorrow, the importance of facing any challenge with resourcefulness and perseverance in order to be able to build their future every day.
