Customised lithium batteries for airport GSE: Flash Battery at GSE Expo Europe 2026
15-17 September 2026
FIL, Feira Internacional de Lisboa, Portugal

Lithium batteries for airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are transforming airside operations on a global scale. In this context, the airport sector is confirmed as a strategic, high-innovation-potential market for Flash Battery, where we have been operating for over 12 years by supplying custom lithium batteries for OEMs and international ground handlers.
At this edition of GSE Expo Europe, we will also present important technological innovations that mark a significant evolution in our approach to designing custom solutions for ground support equipment, with a focus on system modularity and scalability.
For this reason, we will be attending GSE Expo Europe 2026, the leading European trade fair dedicated to airport ground support equipment, taking place from 15 to 17 September 2026 at FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa, in Lisbon (Portugal).

Flash Battery proprietary technologies for Ground Support Equipment: where innovation meets real-world operations
At GSE Expo Europe 2026, we will present our custom lithium batteries for high-intensity airport applications, designed to ensure maximum reliability, safety, and operational continuity even in 24/7 environments.
Our solutions are based on a highly customised integrated approach, developed to support OEMs and airport operators across a wide range of Ground Support Equipment, including electric GPUs, tow tractors, pushback vehicles, belt loaders, and passenger transport platforms.
Flash Battery lithium batteries are not standard solutions but engineered systems integrating proprietary in-house technology. Thanks to the Flash Data Center, our cloud-based remote monitoring and predictive maintenance platform, active since 2013, we are able to continuously analyze the health status and usage of batteries installed worldwide, detecting potential malfunctions before they occur.
Among the latest innovations:
- our new patent dedicated to the evolution of predictive BMS, introducing advanced cell impedance spectrum analysis for increasingly precise and proactive battery health monitoring;
- advanced integrated safety solutions, with gas sensors and aerosol fire suppression systems designed to promptly detect anomalies and increase operational safety levels.
Flash Series: the new modular platform for high-voltage applications
Flash Series is the new modular architecture developed by Flash Battery to meet the growing demand for increasingly high-voltage systems in the Ground Support Equipment sector, delivering more energy while maintaining the same voltage level.
The concept is based on battery modules that can be connected in series, reducing design and integration complexity for OEMs and system integrators while accelerating time-to-market for final solutions.
Flash Series will be unveiled at GSE Expo Europe 2026 and represents one of the key innovations we will showcase at the event. At our booth E04, visitors will be able to see the first Flash Series battery pack, 204.8V and 150Ah, developed with this new modular platform for high-voltage applications, along with the latest evolutions of our proprietary BMS and advanced battery safety control logic.
Why meet us at GSE Expo Europe: Flash Battery at stand E04
Participation in GSE Expo Europe 2026 represents a strategic opportunity for Flash Battery to engage directly with key players in the airport sector, in a context where the electrification of GSE fleets is rapidly accelerating and reshaping operational standards, safety requirements, and energy management models.
For us, the airport sector is a key area of technological development, characterized by complex and continuously evolving operational needs that require increasingly advanced and tailor-made energy solutions.
We will therefore be at booth E04 from 15 to 17 September at FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa, to meet OEMs, suppliers, and international partners, share our expertise, and develop new collaborations in the field of lithium batteries for airport applications.
