Flash Battery three times winner of Confindustria’s “Enterprises for Innovation Award”

For the third time in a row, Flash Battery was awarded the “Enterprises for Innovation Award“, the prestigious recognition promoted by Confindustria and developed in collaboration with the Giuseppina Mai Foundation and Audi, with the support of Fondimpresa, Il Sole 24 Ore and APQI- the Italian Quality Award Association, which is assigned every year to Italian companies that put innovation and research at the heart of their corporate culture.

The purpose of the “Enterprises for Innovation” award, now in its 13th edition, is to reward those Italian companies that, over the last year, have most excelled in investing in research and innovation, not only in products and processes, but in concrete actions that have permeated their entire corporate culture.

Together with Flash Battery, the 2023 edition witnessed a total of 12 companies rewarded for the excellence of their innovation processes and achievements, assessed through innovation management and measurement tools based on internationally recognised models. This is a 360-degree analysis process in which the company is guided to carry out a self-analysis of its level of innovation and receives at the end of the process a detailed report on its state of innovation and possible ways to improve it.

“Research and innovation,” commented Confindustria’s Vice-President for Research and Development, Francesco De Santis, “are the real pillars on which to build the development of companies and of Italy. Industrial companies are the engine of technological innovation, which is an essential factor for facing social and economic challenges and for increasing competitiveness in the markets. The Award is an acknowledgement for companies that have excelled in the quality of innovation in a context of investment. Nationwide commitment is required to support this process and make the national research, development and innovation system increasingly integrated“.

Rewarding innovative companies to establish a virtuous circle of imitation

Rewarding companies that have excelled in managing innovation within the company is also intended to provide a frame of reference that can trigger a virtuous circle and be an example for other companies willing to invest in this area.

The aim is not only to enhance contexts of excellence, but also to encourage more and more Italian companies to look with interest at companies that stand out for the excellence of their innovation process, in order to approach innovation more easily and directly by looking at the experience of pioneers in the sector.

For Flash Battery, winning this award for the third year running is an important acknowledgement of its investment in research and development: an approach that involves the company actively committed to offering the electrification market a unique, safe and differentiating lithium technology that is dedicated to sustainability and promotes the green economy.

However, the commitment to sustainable innovation does not only focus on the product; it is a true way of being, which starts with processes and the optimisation of the supply chain from a lean perspective, continuing with a company headquarters that measures and quantifies its environmental impact in order to constantly improve with the aim of becoming a zero-impact company, and culminating in raising the awareness of its employees and stakeholders on the importance of acting to continuously improve and enhance.
