On Monday December 13, 2021 we received the Special Mention 2021 among the winners of the VII edition of the Responsible Innovators Award (section Ecological Transition), promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region with the aim of encouraging an integrated vision of sustainability, enhancing innovation projects consistent with the 17 objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
28 projects were awarded out of over 94 applications received for this edition. The awards were assigned by Vincenzo Colla – Councillor for Economic Development and Green Economy – , Morena Diazzi,- Regional Director for the knowledge economy of work and enterprises -, and Ilaria Vesentini, journalist and correspondent for the Emilia-Romagna Region in the daily newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, to the projects that stood out for their consistency with the four strategic objectives set out in the Pact for Work and Climate:
- Knowledge and skills
- Ecological transition
- Rights and duties
- Jobs, enterprises and opportunities
The project presented by Flash Battery entitled “Flash Battery, the right charge to face the path towards 2030 Agenda ” had the objective of illustrating the sustainable actions that the company embodies in its DNA and that it is carrying out in the medium and long term to fulfil the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In addition to the results already achieved on the product, the latest-generation lithium batteries for the sector of industrial machines and vehicles, attention has been paid to the production system and to the environmental sustainability of the new plastic-free headquarters, where recyclable packaging is used and a photovoltaic system guarantees an 80% autonomy.
“We are proud of this recognition, a demonstration of our daily commitment to corporate social responsibility, which we are consolidating as a distinctive element and which is already giving us great results also in terms of competitiveness”.
