Flash Battery among the SMEs presented with a “Premio Impresa Ambiente” award

On Friday, 12 April 2024, Flash Battery was presented with a “Premio Impresa Ambiente” award (Environmental Business Award), the prestigious prize promoted by Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Unioncamere – Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture, dedicated to recognising Italian companies that have excelled in their innovative contribution to processes, technologies and products within a context of environmental compliance and social responsibility, in line with the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals.

Flash Battery wins in the “Best product or service for sustainable development” category

Now in its 11th edition, the “Premio Impresa Ambiente” (Environmental Business Award), organised with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, achieved a high level of participation, with as many as 95 projects submitted by 92 companies coming from 17 regions.

The participating companies were assessed in 4 different categories:

• Best management for sustainable development
• Best product or service for sustainable development
• Best process/technology for sustainable development
• Best cooperation for sustainable development

Flash Battery took top spot in the “Best product or service for sustainable development” category thanks to the high degree of technological innovation that characterises our lithium batteries for the industrial sector.

Flash Battery proprietary technology supporting a sustainable future: Flash Data Center and Flash Balancing System

Specifically, it was Flash Battery’s proprietary technology, developed at our HQ in Sant’Ilario D’Enza, that enabled us to achieve this prestigious milestone. A significant recognition that demonstrates the solid commitment that our Research and Development team puts in every day in the development of high added-value technology solutions to not only facilitate growth in the industrial machinery and electric vehicle sector, but also, and above all, the creation of a net-zero society.

Flash Battery’s cobalt-free LFP lithium batteries, combined with the patented proprietary electronics of our Flash Balancing System and Flash Data Center, our automatic and real-time advanced remote control system, result in optimum efficiency, leading to an extremely long life cycle and performance that is maintained over time.

In particular, Flash Data Center, taking advantage of the latest artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning, allows the elimination of false signals and anomalies at the outset and prevention of malfunctions, favouring self-diagnostics and predictive maintenance of the batteries. This guarantees that in most cases the battery will outlast the machine it is powering, with clear benefits in terms of environmental impact and sustainability.

Sustainability: a shared objective that starts from a joint commitment

Just as the motto of this year’s awards states, “Sustainability is the real undertaking”, and as such, it can’t be limited merely to regulations or bans, but requires practical choices. This event was much more than an awards ceremony. It was an important opportunity for dialogue and discussion between companies on the importance of a continuous commitment and shared pathway towards business practices that respect the environment, society and the economy for increasingly sustainable business.

In this interview with ANSA, the Chief Operating Officer of Flash Battery, Filippo Di Gregorio, talks about the decisions that have driven us since our foundation in 2012 towards the ambitious goal of providing sustainable lithium batteries to the industrial machinery and electric vehicle market for 100% green innovation: from the choice of LFP chemistry to the continuous implementation of our proprietary technology.
