THE NEW INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION SITE FOR FLASH BATTERY LITHIUM BATTERIES WILL BE LOCATED IN SANT’ILARIO D’ENZA, WHICH IS IN THE PROVINCE OF REGGIO EMILIA, IN THE HEART OF ITALY
We are proud to share the following words and pictures.
The new industrial production site for Flash Battery lithium batteries will be located in Sant’Ilario d’Enza, which is in the Province of Reggio Emilia, in the heart of Italy. It is on a plot of land that spans more than 20,000 m², and it is due to be completed in less than 6 months.
The symbolic laying ceremony for the first stone in the new Flash Battery headquarters was held today in Sant’Ilario d’Enza.
We have been making lithium batteries since 2012
Since 2012, we have been designing, producing and remotely monitoring lithium batteries for industrial machines and electric vehicles, which we supply to manufacturers with moderate production volumes and significant customization needs.
Our main clients are Dulevo, Cifa and Reggio Emilia-based Elettric 80, which provides automated logistics solutions for beverage, food & tissue multinationals.
Flash Battery is now the biggest seller of lithium batteries in Italy.
The first stone laying at the new Flash Battery production facility
As well as our CEO Marco Righi, the event for the symbolic laying of the first stone was attended by Giammaria Manghi (Undersecretary of the President of Emilia-Romagna Regional Council), Carlo Perucchetti (Mayor of Sant’Ilario), Daniele Menozzi (Councillor for infrastructure), Fabio Storchi (President of Unindustria Reggio Emilia) and Carlo Bocchi (the Engineer who designed the facility).
The people and work were blessed by Father Fernando Borciani, the Parish Priest of Sant’Ilario.
The new Flash Battery lithium battery production facility
Future Flash Battery lithium batteries will be produced on the new industrial site, which is more than 5 times bigger than our original premises in Calerno. It is due for completion in March 2020 and will stand on a plot of land spanning more than 20,000 m², with 1,500 m² covered by offices and 3,200 m² by production areas. A further 5,000 m² are available for potential subsequent expansion.
All industrial and production activities will take place in the new headquarters, which will also be home to the Research, Development, Innovation and Marketing departments, not to mention the Sales and Administration offices.
€6 million have been invested in the construction of the facility, which will have room for more than 150 members of staff.
“By laying the first stone, we’re paving the way to further growth for our company. The new headquarters will enable us to serve more clients and enhance our efficiency,” stated CEO Marco Righi as he greeted all those present.
“As well as enabling us to boost our production capacity, building the complex will lay the foundations for further increases to investments in R&D, as part of our industry 4.0 technological vision,” stated Alan Pastorelli.
The new production site for Flash Battery lithium batteries was designed to cater to an evolving approach to work, with spaces that are open to the outside and flexible divisions to suit the constant changes in the market.
We have included recreation areas to make it a pleasant work environment that brings the members of the young, dynamic workforce together.
Furthermore, there is a big focus on the environment in the construction plans. No fossil fuels will be used and a photovoltaic system will be installed to satisfy the majority of the company’s energy needs.
The new facility will provide our staff not only with practical environments for team activities and innovative research laboratories, but also recreation areas that revolve around the ideas of sustainability and welfare within the company. We would like to thank Sant’Ilario town council for their support. We’re delighted to be remaining in the local area and contributing to its well-being.
