Il Sole 24 Ore | Made in Italy Lithium Batteries, Flash Battery inaugurates the new HQ
1/10/2021 – Il Sole 24 Ore
A new green plant covering 20 thousand square meters in Sant’Ilario d’Enza, in the province of Reggio Emilia, which quintuples the size of the previous factory, with a production area of 3,200 square meters already prepared to expand to 5 thousand square meters, 1,500 square meters dedicated to research and 150 workstations, meaning a more than doubled job space: these are numbers that well describe the acceleration that Flash Battery has achieved in just nine years of activity and the development prospects that the young company from Reggio Emilia, manufacturer of lithium batteries for industrial machinery and electric vehicles, has.
Since 2012, the year of establishment with the name “Kaitek”, the company has already designed and produced over 15,000 lithium batteries, designed and manufactured more than 500 different customized models, which are daily monitored by the proprietary remote control system, the Flash Data Center. Born from the passion for electronics of two friends, Marco Righi (CEO) and Alan Pastorelli (CTO and R&D Director), Flash Battery will close 2021 to 17.5 million euros, meaning a 30% growth in turnover, a third of which will come from exports to 54 countries around the world.
“This new headquarters – underlines Marco Righi – is the symbol of the sustainable challenge from which Flash Battery started nine years ago, applying the principles of respect for the environment and the well-being of people in every aspect of the work and the final product.”
